Please wait!

This is an excelent project, and it looks like the first steps to implementation are very simple and quick.
BUT, please wait until the project with the current scope is launched before attempting a enhancement with the potential complexity of an enhancement like this.

Just my two cents.

Clock of the Long Now

This is not directly "Space" related, although it does use the sun to insure accuracy.

Re: Setting first date first

Hi George, You have the best "signature quote" out of 600 people. I always wanted to quote" First, let's kill all the lawyers." but I never did it. Hey, you like it, take it I stole it from somebody else! How can a great truth that tag line be suppressed? Besides it's only fair,...

Re: Setting first date first

I never changed the choice thing at the bottom of each page. It remains on "Oldest First" which seems wrong, but I never hit GO. It is set on that just so it will be ready for you to hit GO... so put it on Oldest First and don't hit GO. Either that or vice reversa. :) fjgiie "Oldest ...

Post display

Have I missed something in the board properties that allows the choice of newest/oldest post to be displayed first? I know that the choice can be changed at the last page of a topic, but that is only in effect for the current topic in the current session, I would like to be able to set it to always ...

Re: contrast of views or pictures

Hi yall, Why less contrast in the new view #11 in the tutorial? Below are views #3 and new view #11 from tutorial. View #11 seems to have a darker background... not only seems to have a darker background, the background is darker.fjgiie Could the Mir sample vews be at a higher magnification affecti...

Perhaps it is because of the contest? I think any new guesses have an advantage of having more info than earlier guessers did. That's why I didn't renew my guess when mine expired. Since it is so close, any new information would be very advantagous for a guesser. Perhaps there is nothing new to rep...

Perhaps it is because of the contest? I think any new guesses have an advantage of having more info than earlier guessers did. I don't think they are any more interested in the contest than I am, which is not very. Perhaps there is nothing new to report. Over 10 days with no progress?? They may be ...

Re: Picture Perfect ?

I've been following the picture perfect update daily, but i haven't seen it update in 10 days :s Is anything special happening? It made me wonder :s I assume that when they got close to having 12 cells compleated they didn't want to share any more info. Why? Who knows? I guess that being the childe...

Before we launch the VM we would like to have a few tiles scanned and processed so we can be confident we're past the false starts. Anna You may be able to feel confident with your preperations, but you will never be able to work out all the problems untill you loose the hoards on your baby. Good L...

Update of "Picture perfect: aerogel scanning progress&q

How about an update of the "Picture perfect: aerogel scanning progress". I know you guys(non-gender specifeic  ) are very busy, but I am not sure you understand how frustrating it is on this side of the forum interface. A little information helps to maintain our sanity (it may be too...

Formay correction for: "More than one track"

The only thing I could come up with on how there could be two tracks, is if the aerogel broke apart a larger particle into 2 or more smaller particles. For any one particle hitting the collector, the odds that it will hit the exact same spot that another particle hit are the same as for it hitting ...

Re: "Discoverer"

Once you try our interactive VM for real, you will find you need to click exactly on a track in the image if you see one. You have to be quite precise about the position, and we can test how well you do by mixing 'calibration movies' (we know the answers) in with the unknown Stardust movies. If you...
