Yes! That's it. Thanks. I have it safely bookmarked this time. I'm also glad to see it's been updated not too long ago.

somewhere there's a diagram of the aerogel + "done"

This is really frustrating. I just spent half an hour going through this whole site and Stardust on JPL and I can't find it. *Somewhere* I stumbled upon a picture of the whole collector plate with darkened segments to show which ones had been turned into movies, and which ones were in the process of...

I don't know, Wolter. Judging by that broom you've got, maybe you need to stop every once in a while too .... :D

fiber

a fiber of some kind. which means my guess goes in the "hair" category, although it doesn't look like actual hair. (Trust me. I'm a biologist. :) )

Dust modders, let us know what's going on with that funny old 807-whatever movie that keeps popping up! There's a strange silence from up top. I've sometimes wondered if I would recognize a movie that came around again, and I never have till now. But today, I said, "Hey! I DO recognize that one...

strength to both of you

What terrible news. Strength to both you and your wife. We've never met, and yet I feel like you're my brother. I guess, in awful events like this, we are all family. All my very best wishes to you both.

turning off javascript alerts

If you're using Firefox, this is one way to get rid of the error messages (courtesy of a helpful soul at mozillazine forums ( http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?p=2608362#2608362 )): Add the following line to user.js in your default Firefox folder (see below for how to find that). user_pref...

completely featureless field of view

I've been having the same difficulty as Tim, above. Some movies don't have a single speck of surface dust or any irregularity. At the actual microscope, you'd know when you were at the surface, but on a monitor, I have no way of being sure whether I'm looking at a truly featureless, in-focus surface...

tap-to-click caused false positives

When checking "My Events" I was surprised to find movies where I hadn't (consciously) clicked on a possible track. I was sure I had tap-to-click turned off. After a totally improbable "event", I checked, and sure enough, the damn tap-to-click had somehow been turned on. I don't k...

Give the Stardust team a break, folks!

I've done similar microscope research in biology, and, believe me, the Stardust team has done an AMAZING job getting the scans out there in a do-able format for us to look at. You can bet your bottom dollar that the research is underfunded and understaffed. Looking through the suggestions here, lots...
