Missed calibration movie 6844203V1

I missed this calibration movie (6844203V1) and still can't find the track. Since I rarely get to do any stardusting now, I reviewed the tutorials again and still can't see it. A couple of features caught my eye initially but look the same as other pieces of dust or debris in the movie. I will appre...

I agree

Take a look at this Movie 2480459V1 . There seems to be a track (although quite faint) just under surface at coordinates (~150,~50). Unlike its 'neighbouring inclusion' towards the right at (~190,~30), this track appears pin-point upon focus. Though when I clicked on it, I was the only one out of 1...

I am only 59 and a half. I remember looking at sputnik in the night sky with my dad and wondering why all the grown-ups were amazed. I knew we would explore space simply because, as the saying goes, it was there. I could not have imagined I would explore for space particles at home while looking at ...

Movie 612113V1 Where is the bad focus?

What am I missing? Movie 612113V1 passed cut 1 and has the comment "bad focus, cannot evaluate, will rescan". I have reviewed this movie several times and cannot see that it has bad focus. The surface is slanted, but it's evident that the little dots or inclusions come into focus below the...

Me, too. I vaguely remembered signing up. It's a bit thrilling seeing my name in the list.

Minkiemink, if you can get a picture the next time you put a stone in the aerogel, I would love to see it. I sell colored stones, so I know a bit about setting. It sounds like you do not need a mounting. Sort of a like a self-setting substance.

your very own aerogel

Wow! It almost looks like a hologram. Ethereal, comes to mind. I have a question - The picture shows blue letters on the keys on the picture's right side. They look like copies of the keys to the left of the aerogel. Are these transmitted through/because of the aerogel or is it a result of the imagi...

I thought this was interesting. The surface particles appear to be in parallel lines. It's most easily seen when you focus above or below the surface.

Any way to view previously viewed movies?

I apologise if I have overlooked the answer to this in the FAQ and Problems and Support forum. My question: Is there any way to view the 3rd or 4th or, maybe, 5th movie I saw the first time I logged in? I clicked on a movie with three things deep under the surface of the gel. These are probably incl...

Movie 699614V1 is interesting. There is also a faint spot in the lower left corner. As you focus down slowly you see a brief bright spot before it darkens. Probably an inclusion. Still it is tantalizing to see something so far below the surface. What might we be missing in other movies?

Thanks. I have gotten a lot of out of focus movies lately. That would explain the persistent figures. sbl
