Re: What will you name it?

So would we be given the opportunity to learn why you chose that name?
I hope that you find one, it would be fun to hear this story!

Re: Photos of dusters?

Vance, Tell them my son passed at 11 yrs. old! Seriously, we'd LOVE to have them as a part of this. It would be neat to have them learn about the project and then see how they could make the project fit into the educational standards for the state and grade. There are so many options! Any pictures w...

Re: Relevant science fair projects?

Hi Vance! I too found this project to be interesting as something for the kiddos. I have given presentations of it to classrooms from 4th grade to 7th grade. I found that some of the info was kinda complex, at least for the younger ones and honestly, if they could do this or a flashy video game...we...

Re: Relevant science fair projects?

Hi ScienceDad! Sorry this took so long in responding, I have had a lot going on, including substituting in elementary schools! I wanted to respond anyway, because this is an AMAZING project with lots of wonderful possibilities. One thread you may look into expanding on is this one with Zack . I real...

Welcome to the forum!
It is nice when the aerogel is positioned the way it should and we get an easy look into it. Especially if you do a lot of searches. It's fun to me to look at one that isn't as perfect and try to decide what the surface is doing!

So in other words, we are simply doing what we do as part of the ZM mathmatical equation - Hmmm....is this the mathmatical constant for all of life??? I'm not sure what your results may indicate, and it looks like it took a lot of work to make a curve to fit the data. Thanks for your efforts! Now we...

With more simplicity, I'd just like to say that this is the way science goes. You win some big and you win some small, but good science always teaches us something...although it may not be what we want!
Frustrating, but good news for the future research!

Although not a direct link, this thread lists some references to the angles of the dust. Also, we don't know exactly what to look for so everything is suspect. We are going for what we think looks like a possibility. Again, since there are the masses, the least likely canidates get the least likely ...

JStevens, In reply to your email, no, there is no way to hit more than one. You just pick the best canidate and go with that. But if there are more than one, then you can post in on the forum and it will be noticed faster by the team and it can be reviewed. As stated earlier in the thread, it is hig...

At least there was an "Untutored, horny hand" there to represent the general public as intelligent effective assets to the space science field. Sometimes, ideas take time to become reality. Your voice was not ignored, I'm sure. It's just a shame that they have such a low view of the genera...
