Sam, I fully understand the job needs to be done - and having been fully employed for nearly 40 years now, I do know what a job looks and feels like. However, I also expect there to be some recognition that the job is getting done, and since the "Movies Viewed" totals are the only form of...

I was thinking exactly the same. How often do people like me get a chance to take part in a scientific project like this. Not just to run a screensaver but to actually look through a microscope, with a specific purpose. I've been running SETI@home since 1999 and I have always admired the guys at Ber...

Re: Why aren't "Bad Focus" movies counted?

So, I think I'll just mark every movie either with a "No Track" or by clicking on a track I find. After all, if the Stardust@home team isn't willing to "count" the effort to view a FUBAR movie, or admit the error and stop wasting our time, I don't think I should force the issue ...

No Track movies listed in My Events

I have 5 movies listed in My Events but I know I only marked 3 of them as possible tracks. The numbers of the no track movies are 27868 and 19850; the first one must have been added on 5th or 6th August (can't remember exactly) and the second one on 7th August.

Has this happened to anyone else?

I was using a single window in both Firefox and Internet Explorer and it still happened to me. This was during several registration tests. I am also being logged out of the forum for some reason while I am trying to post messages. Edit: I have now managed to complete the test and registration. The m...

I'm having the same problem; I tried Firefox and Internet Explorer. I manage to get through 4 or 5 movies before it happens.

I beginning to feel that the best idea would be to drop the discovery/naming rights period. This task is far too important to jeopardize and backlog the data with people solely concerned with finding/naming a particle or those who would 'click, click, click' in an effort to do the same. THIS IS NOT...
