Why? It's possible that they'd just get moved around or maybe more would just be brought to replace them. It's better to just keep them there as a constant. Less variables is better.

I was following that until I found so many. I figured I've found my fair share.

The tiniest CMs do indeed not have a hollowed center because they are so small that it's not visible in the movie. However, they are still clearly different to the trained eye. Only the largest "closed" specks even come close to rivalling the smallest CM tracks. And the smallest CM tracks are in foc...

Unfortunately, you can't link to calibration movies by any means. So we can't really see what you are talking about.

If I could link this calibration movie I saw yesterday I probably would... I should have at least saved the number. Anyway, you know those movies that have two different sections of gel in them? There was a calibration track going straight through both of them. There's no way it could have even been...

I really hope that's a track but I wouldn't jump to conclusions either. Nearby there is a perfectly focused section of gel which that ball could very well be a part of. Also, while it does look like a large grain below the surface, I still don't see a hollowed out tube leading down to it like in the...

Re: Calibration movies

You should be able to spot the cal movies with tracks, they are all distictly "solarised" Not helpfull. The idea is to ALLOW the CMs to train your brain, not to out-fox them. The object is not to learn how to spot CMs, but rather to spot tracks. Oddly enough, I found that before I even realized tha...

Hi geekzilla. When posting information like that with the movie 3462823V1 above, please try to make it clear that the observations you are making are entirely your own speculation, as nothing has yet been verified (inclusions included). You may be absolutely correct, and I tend to agree with your t...

Edit: I'm not a scientist and these are just my own thoughts. I could be completely wrong. Driven, that does not look like an inclusion or a track to me. It seems like a bit of dirt in a sunken part of the gel. I made an animated GIF of Movie 3462823V1 to show inclusions. I think this is a very goo...

Oops, I had no idea. In any case, they updated it so now it's just using one ID anyway. Went to the ID in the original post and it is obviously not a calibration movie. Guess we'll never figure it out.
