It's clearly spreading out, that is, getting more blurry, as you go down. There is a bright bump or something on the gel fragment surrounded by dark when focused above the surface, and it gets bigger below. I wouldn't have marked it myself.

Valar did say "similar to those from calibration movies."

Assuming that the real tracks are just like the calibration movies, THAT would be normal. According to predictions, there would only be one track every 15,000 movies.

The whole key to this is looking for stuff below the surface. In this one, the surface is just coming into focus at the bottom of the range. It doesn't matter what it looks like because it's on the top of the gel. Click "bad focus" for these.

That's the problem here. The statistics are clearly wrong. It's a tricky one, and if I were going faster, I probably would have missed it, but it's THERE. I have several hits with very low agreement, but I passed the test with 10/10 on my first try, I go very slowly, and I swear I'm not making this ...

Face it friends: We're nerds. I don't think your average cheater would find this at all exciting.

I can ignore the ones on the edge, but, garn, that bottom one (Moe?) keeps faking me out. When you are at the bottom of focus and everything else is fuzzy, it draws your eye. About once every 10 minutes I get excited for a second!

Only two other people have noticed this one, and it may be extra important: Most of the movies may not be scanned deep enough! The surface in this movie is right at the top of the scale, but the object doesn't clearly appear until the bottom two frames. Even then, it's still not in good focus yet. T...
