Hi, DustSabre, You probably misunderstood my intention posting those two samples. Let me try to explain once again. First of all I didn't 'complain' about the new CMs (why should I :) ) and to foreclose I voted this poll 'better but not optimal'. Those two movies just illustrated what the discussion...

Re: Where are the do/// tracks?

First movie rt edge middle, second movie left edge middle. Easy to see if you know where they are! Thanks, fjgiie, for helping meanwhile. Yes, easy to find if you know where and if your screen is really clean. Sorry marymouse. I didn't want to discourage you or anybody even more than the new CMs al...

Since the most 'cute, funny or interesting etc. movies' are Calibration Movies these days I was uncertain where to post those two. Have fun with the ultimate trickster and the tiniest 2px-3D-dot . I got them both 'correctly' but this was more due to 'advanced training' as Marcella said than due to c...

movie # 8203996V1 Clicked on a track at 363, 193 17 august 22:30 UTC User ID stardust1 This was the only track to click on in that pos. CM but got an error. Looking back several movies there was nothing questionable (possible missed CMs which could have been scored with a delay according to the abov...

2965266V1 1 1 Indeterminate Beginning of a HA Track?! I did not yet crosscheck with the candidate list of phase I. Those h.a.'s are true friends: they don't hide or mask they are rare but not 1:1,000,000,000 like those nasty IS tracks and you can meet them frequently Nice find! On Movie 6251010V1 s...

I think it would be great to get a high resolution view of the Phase I candidates listed in the Latest Candidates News . This could help - to understand what were the features, scientists had looked at - to compare and interprete the characteristics that can be found in the new 50 micron focus movie...

I like your idea, georingo, to continue this thread as a quality challenge. Since this is a community thread I would like to share my personal impressions from the first days of phase II. I missed 10 +CMs so far. 3 were due to VM glitches I still believe (maybe only one, this is under investigation)...

Hi Marcella, Thanks for your kind reply. ... It looks like the things in the candidate-list.. I am not so sure about because that tiny shiny dot in the center could also be a surface feature. I'm confident with that click anyway and it shows the potential of the high mag movies. As you, Roy Ezell, m...

Re: I think I found one - low angled track

Oh gosh, I'm flipping out. I think I really found one. It looks like a low angled track (moves left to right). I'm not sure how to hyperlink it, but here's the slide number: 2574341V1 I clicked it, and checked, and it only has a count of 1, so I think I'm actually the first one to click on it. The ...

Re: Phase I movies mixed in with Phase 2 movies?

I clicked on it and of course: "Answered Incorrectly" ;) Godfather! I apologize for misleading you. I am so sorry. How could that happen? But as I said 1. "... might" (subjunctive) 2. "... indication" 3. "... no warranty!" And you must admit, it looked...

[Copy from another thread (closed but still unanswered)] 1. I clicked the following CM at 236, 257 and was scored wrong. When I went back the browsers URL indicated different coordinates than I clicked on (306, 181?? where I never would have clicked as it's pretty clean there). http://stardustathom...

Hi Crumplestiltskin, I second your demand for fixing obvious errors as soon as possible. Your movies Movie id: 5002457V1 and Movie id: 416074V1 seem to be real movies, no CMs. If you were scored wrong, maybe this was by error like it happened to me and others (see above). My guess to your other samp...

Hi fjgiie, Your are certainly right (as always). My sample is likely to be buried. A track - real or constructed - should start at the surface. It should not be deeply buried, it should not "fly" or "stick in the gel" extending above the surface  and it should be expected ...

Wrong coordinates captured

I clicked the following CM at coord. 236, 257 and was scored wrong. When I went back the browsers URL indicated different coordinates than I clicked on (306, 181??). http://stardustathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/ss_virtual_microscope.php?next_movie=7867768V1&ondeck_movie=8262415V1-&no_record=0&...
