Re: "There's a problem with this focus movie"

LOL, Evelyn, only you could bring me back to the forum! Although I did mention the name mixup in passing, the main reason I wrote was to congratulate you on your choice as DOM. This distinction was well-deserved after your many years of devotion to dusting. Although it's true I no longer dust, I do ...

Re: Skill Score

With all the complaints about the Skill Score I would have expected that more than 11 dusters would have voted by now. I was one of those who complained, I submitted a proposal, I have cast my vote. It looks like those who demanded change have already departed and it has been left to the ones who p...

Re: "There's a problem with this focus movie"

1946340V1 I think that the team have suggested the wrong end of this track for the correct co-ordinates. The correct point (deepest) should be around 500, 210? 7311872V1 and 4606572V1 - Am I alone in missing these as I considered that a particle track would be deeper into the gel than the surface f...

Re: "There's a problem with this focus movie"

Well, this is an old thread, Dan, but it's where you asked us to post. On a power movie such as this, how are we to know where to click? I clicked on the head as we were originally trained to do and got it wrong. To me, the depth looks pretty equal throughout, so how are we to ascertain the deepest ...

Re: Phase 4 problems

Another poorly designed power movie. As you can see, the movie starts below the surface. Ordinarily, I would have marked this as bad focus, but I saw that dark dot jumping out at me (457/200) and clicked on it. Sure enough, it was a power movie. In reality, a person would not be able to tell whether...

Re: "There's a problem with this focus movie"

I agree with fjgiie. This 37-pointer is not only so tiny as to be nearly invisible, but also on the surface. http://stardustathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/powermissedviewer.php?movie_vm=1609007V1&theX=473&theY=69 The power movies in this phase have become not only harder, but impossible. I am findi...

Thanks, greuti. I knew that info was here somewhere, but couldn't find it. It makes sense now. Sort of.

Re: Phase 4 problems

So far so good, Dan. I just had 3 HATs in a row and they were all counted as correct. However, my skill score went down each time. I guess I don't quite understand the math behind that.

Also, is there a way to tell what the skill rating is on power movies we get right?

Re: Phase 4 problems

Evelyn, I'm sure we have not been bumped or eliminated from the program. Why would they do that? This is just another glitch. I think it is happening to all of those people who dusted today. I noticed it happened to me right after I started dusting. I would be interested in hearing from people who d...

Re: Tracks and Movies

Mike, I have completely discounted the skill score. It means nothing because it is loaded with "impossible" targets and faulty Power Movies. What I really want is to locate a real target containing organic matter. George I agree with you, George. I decided to try dusting again and immedia...

Re: Phase IV Transition

No point in waiting for emails - there are no links which would be nice. George Are you saying your auto-generated feedback emails are not providing links to missed Power Movies? Dan That is correct Dan. I was going to post here about that very thing, but gebils beat me to it! Here is a sampling of...

Re: Phase 4 problems

Evelyn, could you post the corrected movie (under Power movies missed) so we can see where the parameters are located? I suspect that, once again, they are positioned incorrectly at the tail of the track rather than the head.
