cthiker : not sure, but you may have been first to use the capitalized acronym* HAT here: http://stardustathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/forum/viewtopic.php?p=14330&highlight=#14330 Hi John! Thanks for the attribution, but it is not deserved - that honor actually goes to marcia who created a thread cal...

Hi Nikita!

I think this refers to the High-Angle Track that we used to call a Low-Angle Track until the Berkeley gang straightened us out! Looks more like a lost necklace.......anyone?!?

Happy Dusting!

Re: What are people looking at???

7 watched that movie and only 2 (me included) recognized the track. Hi Stephan! Just to be sure...exactly what is it that you're seeing in this VM? Myself, I can see a couple of very low possibility candidates (IMHO), as well as a lense dust mark, but I'm not sure what it is that you are considerin...

Hi Marc -
Thanks for the suggestion, but Slideshare does not currently support imbedded video, and those are integral to the presentation. :( Open to other ideas, however!

Happy New Year to all!!

Hey Nikita, Thanks for the great tips. Hi Marc! And good suggestions they are (Nikita, one of our founding "Dusters", has had many over the past almost 2 years!...geez, it's really been that long?!?). I'll just add my own, since I did what you're suggesting with my stepdaughter's elementa...

Re: 7815154V1

Top center, looks like a real track. :)
It even shifts in a way unlike the surface artifact around it...I think you got one, fjgiie!! :)

Or, maybe considering your potential success with Phase-I, I think you found another one! :D

Congrats!!

Stardust NExT - The mission continues!

Just came across this interesting tidbit, for those wondering what ever happened to the original Stardust spacecraft (sans return-capsule). Bringing the concept of "recycling" to a whole new level, Stardust has been assigned a new mission - following up to Deep Impact's visit to the comet ...

Here's a CM classified as having no track, but with an "inclusion" that is definitely borderline (IMHO) - have a look...(you need to be logged in to S@H to view): http://stardustathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/ss_virtual_microscope.php?frame=-1&next_movie=890663V1&ondeck_movie=4198087V1&am...

Re: CM Like

. Normally not worth posting but this looks like a calibration track so rite cheyah ! Hey fjgiie ! Totally would have a click from me if I saw it - definitely in the CM realm!! I like the "movement" towards the upper-left while much of the rest of the stuff is pretty still. Great catch - ...

Hi Roy!
Yup, definitely looks like a HAT (High Angle Track)! Great catch...too bad you weren't #1 :( !!

Oh, and as far as I'm concerned, "strange" = "clickable"! :) Good luck!

...it looks like a small opening and a chamber for lack of a better word, going bottom left toward top middle in angle. Hi Roy! I see what you're talking about, but, as was the case with Phase 1, I tend not to click on things that go completely out of focus by the end of the VM. I'm kinda still hol...
