Re: In focus and blur then sharp and blur again
I would like to have your comment mates on the following movies: Movie 8813559V1, Movie 5568967V1, Movie 2123266V1 If you focus the VM the area is blur, then you focus down and gets sharp and then again blur. Low speed particle or just dust below the gel surface?? So far as I'm concerned that's per...

I'd say my strategy is similar to speck's: 1. Check to see if the surface comes into focus at an early enough point to be useful. 2. Figure out where it does come into focus. 3. Scroll rapidly down from there 6-8 frames and back repeatedly, looking for anything that comes into focus as the surface s...

Re: Why is anyone in a rush?
I fail to understand what the rush is. This isn’t a video game is it? If you take at least 10 seconds, (should be more like 20 to 30 seconds at least depending on the slide could be a minute or two) that is more than enough time for the next slide to load. Plenty of movies are either out-of-focus o...

Re: Slow loading
For slow Loading - Let me place this message here before the mods lock this suggestion. 1. Log in to the VM as normal. 2. Open another internet window and log in with this second window to the VM. 3. Use one on rigit side of screen, one on left, you may need to click on page to switch between pages...

It depends so much on the specific movie. By now, it registers almost instantly when the lower part of a movie is totally out of focus, so those are very quick. The ones at multiple levels or with a lot of stuff in them can take a lot longer (20-30 seconds), though, as I try to make sure I'm not mis...

Posted this elsewhere but this is probably the best place for it: From here: http://stardustathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/forum/viewtopic.php?t=797 It appears that of the hundred most clicked on movies so far only nine have been taken to the second review stage. It would be really useful to see the 91 th...

Re: Does a track look like this?
Hi track searchers, This movie seemed to me to be interesting. http://stardustathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/myevents_viewer.php?id=6092868V1 Thanks, fjgiie Interesting? Dude: you are a master of understatement. Awesome. Yeah, that one's something else. I haven't come across anything remotely resembling it.

The clear track that I found is this, a definitely track and it just passed 1st review. http://stardustathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/myevents_viewer.php?id=4836732V1 If you're talking about the doughnut near the right-hand edge, it looks like a surface feature to me: that side of the frame is just coming...
