I was tempted to ask people how many events they have, to get an idea of how much is 'being seen'.

Then I thought, it might be telling, or interesting anyway to see #ofmovies plotted against #events.

The graphical relationship between the two might be worth a look.

Card countingis cheating because it involves keeping track of every card that has been played. Very few people can do that in their heads. That makes it an unfair advantage. Which gets to exactly what I was saying. Why should someone who can THINK and REMEMBER better than others be called a cheater...

Aren't lynchings wonderful? A shame all of the accusing people didn't show some class and apologise for the accusations. And Sharqua. great question for you: Why is card counting cheating? It makes you a better player. Should someone who understands probability better be considered a cheater as wel...

JT while I agree that most of the callibration movies are easy to spot, many of the real movies share the same features. Just don't let yourself get lazy! I'm still hoping they'll recycle some of the first batch movies into callibration movies. And catch people snoozing.

Said before, I hope the movies come in and out in bunches. Or that only some candidates remain while the next batch is "released". Still think resetting the scores every time a new batch of movies comes along would really help with morale for many people.

Lyoha,

I have received the same movie multiple times. It if is random, there would be no stopping that. It does make sense though, in the sense that you'd be getting checked against yourself. Reliability.

If it only comes into focus at the end, it's likely that you have just found the surface. That being the case, since you can't go beneath the surface to look for tracks, your best bet is to mark it as Bad Focus.

I believe. ;-)

Atus, a few times it has seemed (because someone with a lower score was ranked higher than someone with a higher score) that they do factor in the %'s as well. But there are people with very high scores that also have very high sensitivity/specificity scores, so it won't matter that much.

dd Those 25 agreements are for 65 viewings. The 10 agreements for the bad focus movie I discussed are for 27 viewings. As percentages they are very close to the same. Keep in mind the bad focus one should have been obvious. And it wasn't. For almost 40% of viewers.

OneEyed, For kicks, twice now (Friday afternoon, and Sunday morning) I totalled up the combined scores of the topp 100 list. First time it was about 58 000. Second time about 100 000. Assuming 3 real movies for each point, that means the top one hundred people alone have viewed around 300000 movies...

Even with it progressing from my one click to a fad (I would hope people would at least have wrestled with it like I did, or at the very least (lol) not allowing people to partake in the fad until their total movies approaches 10 000 (makes me wonder what else I've done this week)) I think it would...
