Sure looks like one to me, Evelyn! I assume the parameters are in the wrong place again.

Somewhere in one of these forums I remember seeing a post from Dan. They are aware of the problem with these movies and will be correcting it soon.

For the record this is another track which gives a miss when checked. This one is a bit different that the others I have seen.

Absolutely nothing there - 53 point loss.

A lot of negative feed back with little to no opportunity for us to improve.

Knew I shouldn't have done any dusting tonight. Missed two HAT's - one because I clicked the deepest part and the second because I clicked the beginning. Where is Stardust consistency? Out the window on the HAT's. I guess at least my Skill rank is increasing.

Has anyone else noticed that the "Your Skill" shown at the bottom of the stats on each movie actually drops each time you correctly identify power movies. It seems to only increases when you get a series of them correct.

http://stardustathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/ ... ds=?57,189 Movie 905089V1

PLEASE? Where do I click on this one to get it counted right? I get a wrong answer regardless of where I click on these large ones. Also, I got credit for getting a small one correct, but my score went DOWN 5 points! (i.e. I was at 124/23, 11.06, before clicking on track. Then stats became 125/23, 11.01 afterward) I'm confused and may just stop dusting as Elaine has done until it is straightened out---(or that I get myself straightened out.) Also I am now confused about where the "deepest part" of a track is. How about helping me out in plain language? Is "deepest part" the part I can still see when I scan down to the lowest level? A very large track again. I get them all the time, and I can tell you that it doesn't matter where I click. I get it counted wrong. I REALLY have loved Phase Four---the first two days were great---dusting was my favorite thing to do! Then this! PLEASE will someone help Elaine and me? Both of us are having the same experience with these big ones, and with incorrect scores. Thanks, Evelyn ERSTRS

Some more wrongly-calibrated power movies:

http://stardustathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/ ... 1&theY=259
http://stardustathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/ ... 3&theY=374
http://stardustathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/ ... 3&theY=117
http://stardustathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/ ... 9&theY=263

Ideally the supposed correct coordinates would be marked precisely on the movie itself (e.g. circled or with an arrow), as well as given in the URL. There would then be much less ambiguity in the duster's mind as to where the team expect us to click, make spotting wrongly-calibrated movies easier, and reduce the chance of error by the team in the first place.
Dan, would that be technically possible?

My complaint is why do we have to be so precise by indicating the deepest point? I see our objective being identifying possible targets with tracks. These latest examples can easily be found in the lab when clicked anywhere along the track.

My second complaint is the number of no track targets. These are found on a lot of the Power Movies and not one is presented in the tutorial movies. What are the differences between these targets and inclusions?

Got a miss on this one - target actually a little to the left of location indicated.

Hi all
I clicked on the track but it gave me power movies missed:

That looks like a rotated and more extended version of my last example: http://stardustathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/ ... 9&theY=263

I, and I guess you enokh, clicked on the most prominent 'blob' adjacent to the obvious surface artefact. To be fair to the team, yours does seem to show a (very subtle!) increase in focus with depth toward the (truncated) opposite end of the track close to the edge, in which case the team's coordinates are correct. However, mine was even more truncated and given previous experience it seemed sensible to click the prominent blob.

If the actual terminal particle is 'off-screen' in both cases, does that mean the 'blob' we've both clicked on is in fact where the particle impacted? I've certainly never seen such a clear entry point in previous phases. If so, are we not to indicate those too if the deepest part is ambiguous or out-of-view?

Seems to me, since we know particle tracks can be observed swerve a slight degree in 2D movie frames that they can also do so in 3D, particularly if approaching an aerogel artefactual contour distortion or discontinuity, and that the vertical profile and therefore depth of focus of their contained elements is not necessarily linear, such that the terminal particle could end up higher than the deepest part of its track.
This will inevitably be more of an issue for the tangential & 'midnight' tracks (high-angle HATs) we're now encouraged to look for than the head-on low-angle LATs (PS: whatever happened to the carrot supply?)

Whatever, all very confusing and frustrating.

Yes, I noticed that two and have reported the problem. It should be your Power Score divided by the total number of Power Movies you've searched, so the listing of everyone's scores on the Community Rankings page appears to be the one that's off. I've already reported it, but one tech is on a new project and the other is on vacation. We'll need patience here.
