Incorrectly answered calibration movies

Post by laser »

hi there

what about a hint what or where the fault was after answering incorrectly a calibration movie?
I think it would come to a better quality of answers, wouldn't it?

I was just about to post a thread on this topic. There are some CMs that I cannot find what I was supposed to click on. For example... well, it claims to be movie ID 3072225V1, but that doesn't seem to be right...

Anywho, there are some that I disagree with and/or am confused by and I would like to learn from my mistakes. Is there some way to make this possible?

Use back button

Please use the back button when you find that you have a miss. You cannot call up a calibration movie on the my events viewer. I believe you get a real movie in it's place.

I would also appreciate if there could be a list similar to the event list where you can look up your incorrectly answered CMs. And then it would be nice if the spot where the track that you didn't find would be marked.

But I'm not concentrated on the numbers below the movies, so I rarely notice when I had a miss.

Hi Frank,

Would you unclick your "Disable BBCode in this post" the next time you make a post? Then Your [ quote ] will work.

I know, I had ten misses without checking in phase 1. That is about the only way though to have instant feed-back on what you miss.

Ok...CM 1215573V1:

I answered incorrectly with saying that there's no track in it. So i went back to review it. But after minutes of searching i'm not able to find anything.

Check the top right quarter. If that's not correct, then come back and we will try again.

I think now I'm not able to look at it anymore. But I remember that in the top right quarter there was a particle through the whole focus range. That's not that one which you're thinking of?

The problem is that I still cannot find what I was supposed to click on. For example, one CM had 3 inclusions below the surface, and it appearently wanted me to click on one.

I've come across 3 CMs that I've marked as "No Track" and have gotten these wrong, I can't find a hint of a track. It's possible that I've missed the track, as from other CMs I 've seen - the tracks are tiny, perhaps I need new glasses? :?
Another thing, I've come across quite a few dark movies, are these going to be re-scanned?

Otherwise, I'm still having fun!

Incorrectly scored calibration movies ?

Post by Crumplestiltskin »

While it's true that some of the tracks are harder to spot and more subtle [than in Phase 1], there are a handful of CM's with supposed tracks I've viewed that scored as 'incorrectly answered' when I saw no part. tracks. I've been using the back button to re-view them and to make a list. I hope that, as in Phase 1, someone is aware of and concerned about this enough to check on possible scoring errors and make any corrections [better early on than later into the searching]. Here are a few I've encountered that I wish anyone with the power will investigate [I don't have the URL's for the 1st four]:

Movie id: 7312065V1
Movie id: 3261513V1
Movie id: 7662919V1
Movie id: 3305306V1

Movie id: 4797413V1

Movie id: 2999095V1
http://stardustathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/ ... rds=?-1,-1

Movie id: 5002457V1
http://stardustathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/ ... rds=?-1,-1

Movie id: 416074V1
http://stardustathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/ ... rds=?-1,-1

Movie id: 8817948V1
http://stardustathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/ ... rds=?-1,-1

I for one am more concerned about accuracy stats/% than my overall score. Thanks, Crumplestiltskin
