I hope this is the right place to place this question. I observed in two of
the last movies I was going through - with track candidates - the odd focusing range. What's odd about it is that the surface appears in the first few frames, and the marks of the particle tracks in the very last frames. In the movies I've seen so far(not a gigantic number I admit, just about 350) these kind of movies appeared at a rate of about 1 per 20-30 movies, and two of the last ones (with id : 889752V1 and 2655248V1 ) presented particle tracks.

My question is: Is it possible that in more movies there could be particle tracks becoming visible just in deeper layers, like the ones seen in these movies ? (with id : 889752V1 and 2655248V1 )

If there is a possibility of that occurring, then some of the movies marked
with "no tracks" (correct from the point of view of the volunteers, because
the surface appeared in focus in the middle frames) might contain in fact
tracks at a deeper level, that cannot be observed in most of the movies.
I remember that the start of the project was delayed because there were
problems about getting the right focusing range in many movies, so you've
probably thought of this already. I would be grateful for a response from
the moderators.

The items you are referring to in the 2 movies above are consistent with what are known as 'inclusions' and have been a topic of much discussion.
