How Many Total Focus Movies Are There?
Just an interesting question I was wondering while scanning. I checked through FAQ's but didn't see this, so apologies if there's already an answer out there somewhere. Is there any way to know how many there will be in total? Or how many there are in total currently? (I like to set GOALS!) - LOL :s...

Where to Err?
Question for our wonderful moderators / project team: Which way should we err? If I have a movie that seems out of focus, but at the end a dot pops up that could be a track, do I err on the side of marking it, or on the side of saying it's out of focus? Is one better than the other at helping all of...

Who gets "new" movies?
I was just wondering - what drives which people will get movies that have not been viewed previously? Is it random, or does being ahead in the number of movies viewed give you a better shot at looking at selections not previously viewed by anyone else?

Bad Scores in Error
Now I'm getting dinged for not picking up track(s) on slides with definitely no tracks. Unless this is out of focus and I'm not realizing it, there is no track here. I know this is picky, but how do I keep trying to validate data when I know the answers I'm relying on are being skewed? Slide #11348B

I'm so glad to find out it's not just me! I went back and checked in dismay (okay, it's silly, but I was SO proud of my perfect score!) and there is a definite track, but I still got dinged. <<sigh>> Any word on whether we'll be able to have them reviewed? Get our standings fixed? Also, if I divide ...

Hi, all. I'm DiamondGirl - you may have seen me here and there. I've been watching the boards since late May, although not posting as much as some. :) I'm 36, from Upstate New York (Syracuse area), and work for a company that provides data services to Utility Companies throughout the US. I'm also a ...

Fairbanks, Alaska here! Howdy, Angaiak - I work for a company doing utility work, and we have a project starting in Fairbanks this week. :) If you see Osmose trucks out and about, that's my team. Curious - we've had discussions on how your hours of daylight work there. Can you give me the inside sc...

Identifying tracks
I also found that the valid tracks become clearer as you go below surface, while the false positives (cracks, dings, etc.) lose focus or stay blurry. That's the one constant I found as I went through. Like someone said - best to let the moderator respond, but wanted to mention it in case it helps so...

Naming Your Particle
My first thoughts run towards family surnames as well, but I just can't what I'd decide on if/when I actually found one. Speaking of which, is it just me, or does the idea that we can participate in both finding and naming something like this give you cosmic goosebumps? I find this so incredibly coo...

When? When?
I'm SO glad someone asked this question! I kept thinking I'd somehow missed it, even though I must have pre-registered about a half dozen times just to make sure it took. Please, if anyone hears more, keep posting! --DiamondGirl
