Re: New forum design

Hi John,

So there's not much our tech can do, at least at the moment. But take a look here and let me know if that design is any better.

Thanks,

Dan

Re: Weekly trends

Hey thanks John, I'd be honored if I'm having a positive effect. FYI, I think new scans are actually in the works and will try to get an update for you soon.

Re: New forum design

John,

Thanks for the feedback. I'll see if there's anything our tech on this can do.

Re:

Hello. I have tried or several days to work with the virtual microscope, but the focus bar just won´t work. When I move the mouse over the focus bar, the focus doesn´t change. What can I do? Thank you. Hard to say. Do you have any browser add-ons, like an ad blocker? Better yet, have you tried a di...

Re: Time vs Gel

This may be a silly question, but how does all the time that has elapsed since the initial scanning affect the quality of the gel? Or does it? I know I've read on several old posts that some of the challenges that are faced during scanning are the inclusions, imperfections and surface quality. Does...

Correct Link to Update

In a couple of previous posts of mine within this discussion, I refer to a recent science update, but incorrectly provided a link to an older one. As John has already discovered (and linked to), the science update I was referring to is available now and can be found at http://stardustathome.ssl.berk...

Sadly, your promise to "research the current status" of phase 3 implies you are no wiser than the rest of us about it; why can't Andrew Westphal, who seems to have time to make slide-shows, tell us directly where matters stand? Sorry to be a nuisance, but you'll find that's in my job desc...

Well, first of all, if you haven't yet viewed Update 4 (especially slides 19 on), you definitely should: http://stardustathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/ISPE_update/P4_flash_HQ.php But otherwise, you are quite correct about the lack of information currently being passed along via these forums. I'll research ...

When dusting activity was at its highest, there were around 10-15 dusters online at any given moment. Currently the range is more like 0-5.

I guess they are perfectly justified in depending on the 'Law of the Vital Few'. Just as long as the few are given reason to still feel vital  Yes, things have been quiet John. But we expect interest/activity to climb again in Phase 3, for which we'll begin new recruiting efforts. But in the ...

You may have also "discovered" it, but you may not have been the FIRST to discover it - that is the person who gets the naming rights. True, searchers do not know who else has clicked where on what. If you did, the search methodology would be flawed. But there is no flaw in the "conte...

Who will be the co-author of the publication and who will give the name to the dust particle?

Thanks

Re: Cannot LogIn on Stardust Website

Are you still having problems, or was it just a temporary server issue (which I would gather was the case)?
