Re: "There's a problem with this focus movie"

Nothing actually.
But ... if you look (and click) at 390,373 (see jpg 25),
you can see something and you get 16 points.
Little indeed.

Merry Christmas

Re: "There's a problem with this focus movie"

by McAngus » Sat Sep 01, 2012 4:35 am There are indeed many movies totally wrong. They assign the point only if you indicate the wrong coordinates, ie, the beginning of the track and not the end. I'll give you my small and incomplete list: 1595231V1; .................. .................. Moreover, t...

Re: Answers to Qs about: VM, Movies, Scores… UPDATED 6:56pm

Well Dan,
so I'm a victim of racial discrimination!

In fact, since the beginning of phase six I HAVE NEVER READ the line "you have just missed an 85 points pm"
and therefore I presume that I never get a pic of one of those.

Why, not me?

CONFIRM!!

Moreover, a large amount of PMs has the same characteristic "gray tone" so the brain recognize them as soon as they appear in a new image.
If you have also a good memory, the play is done!

Slow server

In the last weeks I notice the downloading of the movies become slow.
I tested two different Internet connections but nothing changed.
Is there a speed limit on the server connection?
The pauses of the progress bar are so annoying.

Re: "There's a problem with this focus movie"

Thanks Laserphil,
you have answered my question: "Where is the truth?".
It is evident that, in the 17 months that I was away, I missed a lot of amenities.

1770913V1; This type has been explained before - see post here on where to click. 7925739V1; and 9592338V1 See post here on where to click. My 5279368V1 (try 460,100 - 20 pts) is the twin sister of your 2267262V1 . Nice! In other cases, similar to this, if you start from the lower part of the blue ...

Re: "There's a problem with this focus movie"

To add to McAngus’s list, 2267262V1 looks like a vertical fiducial track to me, but by clicking on the obviously deepest part near the top margin cost me severely. The team seem to think that the wider circular & surely shallower entry point lower down in the frame is instead the deepest part, and ...

Re: "There's a problem with this focus movie"

Second try: I just encountered a long smokey track like Caprarom described. I had quit clicking on them because it didn't matter where---head, tail or somewhere in middle---they were always counted wrong. But, since Caprarom didn't record his, I decided to report the next one I saw. A few minutes a...

I have also received the plaques.
They are a wonderful memory of this extraordinary experience.
I thank Dr. Andrew J. Westphal and the whole Stardust@Home Team for this gift really appreciated.

"Friends, Dusters, Colligues, lend me your ears; I come to bury Stardust@Home, not to praise him. The evil that Searchers do lives after them; The good is oft interred with their bones; So let it be with this Search." What a severity. The statistics I've found in the Web say that all the internet se...
