We have 'smart' classrooms with a projection screen and internet access. If you have this available, check media services at the school, then you could just log on after you have given an intro in comets and scroll through a few movies. You'll probably hit a calibration movie in which the students w...

Don't worry about it. I've accidentally marked a track that I wished I could take back (I don't get the special box either but I use Firefox). All that will happen is that few, if any, others will mark it as well so in the end it will be thrown out. I know how you feel though...kind of silly... I wi...

Yes, that's the point. The calibration movies don't matter so who cares if people are cheating. As long as as many people as possible are looking at movies, they view not only "fakes" but the real deal. Different people are motivated in different ways. If people get into it for the competi...

Why would I want a way of getting MORE calibration movies. The test movies suck! I get exicted about finding a supposed track and then my score goes up... it was just a calibration... just testing. So disappointing. I would rather there be less test and more real movies. Think about how much effort ...

Nope, no saving grace here. Too late to make the ballerina look gruesome to save face. Admit what you saw and be proud! :)

You need to set the age groups together. Kids (under 14), High school (14- 18 ), Young adults (19-29), 30+, 40+, 50+, 60+

Yes, at age 2_, I still consider my self a young adult. :D

I see a chubby baby dragon.

With Rorschach inkblot test in mind, what does that tell us about Blarrrg?

More disturbing, what does that tell us about Orion?

It just occurred to me: Why was Stardust@Home created? Because they needed to be more efficient. Because two microcopes with limited people on staff can't view the 1+ million movies. Because if they could afford; or if a working quantum computer existed; they could do the processing in months not ye...

agurney: The shortcut to calibration movies is: IDs 8000 to ~10300 are calibration movies with no track ~10300 to ~12000 are calibration movies with a track there are fewer grey values in the calibration movies so they appear coarser. I did not know there was shorcut. Although it may be helpful for...

How to increase your score....

1. Open multiple screens. 2. For those who don't want to open multiple screens... there is another way.... get a cable connection! 3. Run into a string of calibration movies! Yah! I'm up 10 points in 30 seconds! First of all, I'm lucky because my husband pays for the best and fastest connection, so ...
